Amazed?!

I bet you all think I've just completely scrapped this blog thing. Well, I haven't. At least, not intentionally. My computer crashed for a second time at the end of the summer and I've yet to put the photo software back on it. My sister keeps "reminding" me to get this thing updated, and I'm well intentioned, just not well organized. One of these days, you'll all be surprised and I'll put a real post on here! We've been good, just busy as usual. Christmas cards will be on their way soon!

In The Now.........

Okay, so now I'm going to jump ahead to present day and tell you what's going on with us lately. I have many more pics to blog about but can't get to them at the moment. You see, its been a long, eventful, and expensive couple weeks around here. It first started 3 Fridays ago with a flat tire, which couldn't be fixed. You all know what that means.......not just one, but two new tires. Then, a few days later, my computer crashed. Hard. It was at the computer dr. for a couple of days, and seemingly all was well and everything was recovered, some $300 later. Well..........everything but my Pampered Chef files. ARGHHHHH! The one thing that was most important. Everything from the last three years--GONE! Forever. The one expense we had planned for was to get my car serviced before its trip to Indiana. $600 later-done. But, much needed as I hit 100,000 miles the same week we got the flat tire. Then, the air conditioning in Mike's truck decided it didn't need to work anymore......lovely. Estimate--$900. It's gonna be a hot summer driving the Dodge!!

Keep in mind, all of these happened the week before the family vacation. Isn't that always how it goes?! Well, all was handled, and here we are. On to the good news!

This week, I am all alone at home while all four kids have gone to Indiana with Grammy and Grandpa. Caitlyn is at church camp with cousin Colin and his church Sr. High, and Mike is on a horseback riding trip to Wyoming (it was a long drive with the windows down!!) The boys are having a great time and so far have played at Aunt Hilary's, gone on a pontoon ride at the lake, driven the "two-seater" all over the lawn, played with cousins, and gone to the zoo. Whew! Next up, Aunt Jan's pool, the Splash Pad, and Aunt Nan's house. They are having a blast!!

As for me, I'm getting caught up on alot of cleaning, organizing, exercising, and blogging!! The "me time" is great and much needed, but I will be ready to see all of my babies by the end of the week!

In light of the above mentioned computer problems, I'm still having issues getting all of my software programs re-installed on my computer. Therefore, the other pics I want to post I'm having a hard time sorting and seeing them. I know they are there, I just need to work out the bugs so I can post them. It will likely have to wait until Mikey gets here, as he is the technology guru around here!! Stay tuned..........!

Mom's Day

My beautiful Mother's Day flowers..........
Funny story, the flower shop on post was OUT OF FLOWERS--WHAT?!?!?!
He had to get these at the grocery! Obviously, a great choice, and will be our pick for a floral department from now on!

Lt. Dan Band

In May, Ft. Leavenworth was lucky enough to host Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band for an unbelievable concert. There was a reason, maybe the Army's birthday?! This is what I get for not updating this blog in a timely manner!! At any rate, we went with friends, took our dinner in the wagon, beer in a cooler, and had a fabulous evening.
If you ever get a chance, SEE THIS BAND!!! They play a huge range of music and are HUGE supporters of the military. I've always love Gary Sinise, especially as Lt. Dan.
Here are a few shots......I didn't get many of the whole crew, you can see I was a little prejudice!

Caitlyn's Prom--May 2, 2009

So sweet......

They kinda look alike in this one!

"The Talk"

And they're off!

Michael and Caitlyn

Yes, this picture is totally staged. Her mom pinned it on for him!

Very beautiful corsage!

Ty in his cool shades, Tucker with his horrible allergies, and Colton looking very short next to his sister!

Our little girl is all grown up and went to her first Prom this year. Here's a few of the candids!! She looked so beautiful!

Nothing Like A Good Book........

Easter Morning Egg Hunt

"Look at all the loot!"

She looks thrilled, doesn't she?!

Hmmm......

Easter Eve

We joined friends at their house for an Easter Egg Hunt. The kids had a fantastic time, and Tucker even found the egg with the money in it!! Colton was a wonderful helper to his baby brother!

So, it's been over a month and I STILL haven't finished posting Easter pics and beyond! So, here I go!! I'll work really hard to get completely updated in the next couple days!

At the least the Easter Bunny was cute......Scooby Doo was a bit freaky, though!

Leavenworth Easter Parade

These are a few shots from the Easter Parade downtown. They tried, but it really was the most pathetic parade we'd ever seen. Granted, we came from Louisiana where parades are pretty great! The characters were a little scary looking too! But, all in all, the little boys didn't care and had a great time. The rest of us got a good laugh!!

These views are from our balcony....

Wyndham "The Meadows"

We have been timeshare owners for about 2 1/2 years, and have been on some great trips because of it. This is at Branson "The Meadows". It was a beautiful place, as are the other Branson locations. We have oodles of points, so if you're planning a trip, give us a call~we'll see if we can get a reservation for you. We rent cheap!!

This is looking into the master bath from the master bedroom

This is the boys' bathroom, looking from the foyer into the boys' bedroom

The kitchen~wish mine was this big!!

So Baaad!

So, Colton watched the boys a couple nights before we left on our trip, and he was a cool big brother. The little guys loved their new tattoos. They also loved posing with them! I have to say, they were pretty hard to wash off and remained for a couple weeks!

Branson with the boys........

Here are a few snapshots from our Spring Break Trip with the boys. Unfortunately, it was very cold in Branson in April! We still had a great time though, we even stayed an extra day!

The little boys in the giant whirlpool tub.
