Tucker decided months ago that he wanted to be Captain Jack for Halloween. I think he turned out pretty good!!! Ty wasn't crazy about keeping the scarecrow hat on though. This year, it was fun to have Mike's mom and sister, with her two children, here for the big day as well. They came for a visit and stayed with the boys while Mike and I went to Las Vegas the day after Halloween. Sounds like a fair trade, right!?!

Anderson Farms Pumpkin Patch
This was an awesome adventure for the day. There were hayrides, hay mazes, animals, and Tucker's favorite, chicken chasing. I don't think that was really a sanctioned event, but the kids were sure having alot of fun doing it!! On the hayride, the driver stopped throughout the farm to tell us how hay gets raked into bales, pointed out the deer that roam the property, showed us how their crawfish traps work, and about different birds that live in the area. This was all before we got to pick our pumpkins from the field. During the hayride, kids got to pass around a bell to take turns ringing it as a signal to the driver that everyone was ready to move on. Our kids loved ringing that bell! And in case those of you back home our wondering, yes, Mike and I already knew how hay was raked into bales!!
Here's a couple more from Indiana, and some from around our house. The group photo is missing three grandkids...Caitlyn, Colton, and my oldest nephew Jordan. He was working. My brothers other three are the blondies, Whitley, Sydney, and Devin. My sisters are Colin (white shirt) and Alyson(holding Ty). Our two weeks flew by, and we miss you all already!!!
Right after Ty's big day, the boys and I headed north for a much needed trip to Indiana. It had been since last Christmas when we were there, so we were very excited about seeing everyone. Unfortunately, Mike had to work, but we had a wonderful two weeks there. The day after we arrived, we once again celebrated Ty's birthday, which was fun since we very rarely get to celebrate any birthdays with family. Ty doesn't have quite the love of bulls as his brother does! Maybe he'll be a steer wrestler!

On Ty's birthday, we went to the annual Lion's Club parade and rodeo. It was a really big deal here, and Tucker absolutely loved it. Ty, however, as the pic of him shows, got a little grumpy by the time the rodeo started. Good thing Dad met us there, because Ty had all the fun he could handle! Tucker got to stay for the whole thing with Daddy. He was beat by the time they rolled in.
HE'S ONE!!!!
Ty's birthday was a multi-weekend affair this year. We celebrated here in Louisiana with our friends before his birthday, and we got to celebrate in Indiana the following weekend. We had a great time. I think Tucker's favorite, however, was on Ty's actual birthday, October 4, when we went to a rodeo.
Yes, believe it or not, I did actually do this cake myself. A cake decorator I am not, and Tucker will be getting store bought for his birthday!! I love the pics of Ty before digging in. Its like he's asking for permission...... Lots of pics to follow.......... :-)
So it's been over two months....
Well, as you've obviously noticed, it's been forever since I've updated so I've got alot to catch you all up on..........We'll start with September.
As you know, one of our favorite places to go is the quaint little town of Natchitoches. This time, we went there for the Annual Meat Pie Festival. Mike loved the food, and Tucker had a great time with all of the fun kids activities.
